Musicfest Perugia is one of these unique festivals where you always find great music making and dear friends. What a summer! Musicfest Perugia was founded by the pianist Ilana Vered , who brings together students, teachers and music lovers all around the world.
You are never tired of this great city, its special corners , lights and shades. A real symphony of colors and beauty. This is already my fifth summer , so Perugia became sort of a second home to me.
This summer I had a rare experience: playing a chamber concert and a concerto with orchestra on the same day. On 18:00 I played a recital with Daniel Rubenstein (Beethoven, Ravel, Rachmaninoff) and on 21:00 played the 1st mvt. of the Beethoven concerto no.1.
Was very interesting to work on the violin sonata (op.12) and the concerto (op.15) at the same time: they are similar in their pianistic approach and musical ideas. It is also a sort of challenge to your concentration and focus of mind.

In between lessons and rehearsals : a great view of the city along with great coffee ,food, wine and leisure. What a great joy is to feel the time so different from the usual routine: Drinking a glass of wine in leisure with your colleague after a teaching session with no rush, discussing students and music while sitting in such inspiring atmosphere.

The real treat for the students is the opportunity to play with orchestra: an experience for life. What a pleasure is to see my young student having this experience in such an early age. The Alicante Orchestra played marvelously.
It is no wonder that we are waiting eagerly to next summer. Thank you Ilana, Peter and the wonderful team for this wonderful project!
