The Young Piano Course
The Jerusalem Music Center

This special project gathered 20 young pianists at the ages 11-14 . The students worked in a special camp in Jerusalem. Among their activities are  4-hands and 6-hands music , and Jazz  playing.
Most pianists do not have the oppurtunity to play chamber music, as well as attending music camps activity. This special project enriched their music-making,  as well as their social activities.

The course took place at the beginning of April 2009.  The next course is planned for July 2010

The Israeli  Chamber Club  was founded in 2003 in order to perform, record, teach and coach chamber work by Israeli composers. Since its establishment the IMCC performed more than 50 works. The members of the club are artists who enjoy versatile International careers who choose to live, work and educate in Israel .They select repertoire of pieces that were composed  more than 30 and 40  years ago , which was not performed since the first premiere, along with premiers of well- established and young composers.

The ICC  educates passionately  young players for the love of playing new music, and Israeli music in particular. The students work and perform with the professional musicians in its concert series. The ICC participates in special productions, such as  Sixty years of Music (the celebration of Israel 60th anniversary) and lecture-concerts. The ICC won the distinguished Partos Prize from the Ministry of Culture in 2004. Jazz, Paris and Videotape

Paris in the beginning of the 20th century is full of artistic and musical experiments, collaborations  and achievements. There are plenty of influences in all fields of art: painting, ballet, film and jazz music. The music of Debussy, Satie  and Milhaud reflects some of it.

Israeli composers: looking for identity

The music that was composed in Israel since the 1940s is full of contradictions: creative immigrants that were educated in Europe versus the local authentic sound. The last sixty years of the state are versatile  and each composer creates according to his special language.
